“Aquaman” becomes the first DCEU movie that hit the billion dollar mark. With $287 million from U.S. and $734 million internationally, “Aquaman” has now officially joined the billion dollar club with total $1.02 million worldwide.
“Aquaman” also making into top 5 movie released in 2018 that reach $1 billion behind “Avengers: Infinity War”, “Black Panther”, “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”, and “The Incredibles 2”.
“Aquaman” also now ranked at number three as the highest grossing in DC movie history behind “The Dark Knight” ($1.03 billion) and “The Dark Knight Rises” ($1.08).
At this point, many people has predicted that “Aquaman” will surpass both “The Dark Knight” and “The Dark Knight Rises” and become the most successful DC Movie of all time, since now “Aquaman” still run excellent at the box office.
“Aquaman” is directed by James Wan (The Conjuring) and stars Jason Momoa as the titular hero, alongside with Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Willem Dafoe as Dr. Vulko, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna.
Up until now, the studio has confirmed that there will be a sequel of “Aquaman”, but its still in development
