The upcoming female-superhero TV series, “Batwoman” has landed on CW.
The CW has given a pilot order to “Batwoman”, its groundbreaking DC drama project starring Ruby Rose. And according to source, David Nutter will be direct the very first episode of “Batwoman”.
In the series, Kate Kane aka Batwoman, armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence. But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.
Rose’s first appearance as Batwoman was in last month’s DC crossover episodes that linked three major character on DC shows, Supergirl, Arrow, and the Flash.
“Batwoman” TV series will be consist of 23 episodes and each episode will be length 45 minutes.
The studio hasn’t released the official date for the pilot yet, but “Batwoman” is expected to premiere this year.
