Deadline Hollywood reports that Paramount Picture is in early negotiations with A – list actor Chris Pratt to star in a reboot movie of “The Saint”.
“The Saint” is based on Leslie Charteris’ book series, which follow the debonair Simon Templar character first introduced in the 1928 novel “Meet the Tiger,” followed by “Enter the Saint” in 1930. Templar stole from corrupt politicians and warmongers, leaving a calling card of a stick figure with a halo. Prior to his days portraying James Bond, Moore starred in a popular long-running British TV series during the 1960s.
And in the 1997 “The Saint” was adapted into big screen starring Val Kilmer and Elisabeth Sue. Follows the story of the main character dealing with the underworld of international industrial theft.
Pratt became a worldwide star after he took the role of Marvel’s superhero Star Lord in “Guardians of the Galaxy” movies and new film of “Jurassic World” in 2015. His recent film was “Avengers: Infinity Wars” that became an instant hit, grossed over $ 2 billion worldwide.
