Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) has been casted to join the reboot of “Dune”, the sci-fi epic that was released in 1984.
Bautista will reuniting with director Denis Villeneuve, who previously working with Bautista in “Blade Runner 2049”.
Bautista will join the casts including Timothée Chalamet and Rebecca Ferguson. But unfortunately, there is still no detail information about Bautista’s character.
“Dune” is a sci-fi epic movie set in distant future, follows the story of Paul Atreides, whose family accepts control of the desert planet Arrakis. The planet is the only source of the coveted spice melange, which means control of Arrakis is highly contested among the noble families. After Paul and his family are betrayed, the story explores themes of politics, religion and man’s relationship to nature, as Paul leads a rebellion to restore his family’s control of Arrakis.
Denis Villeneuve will direct the film also write the screenplay based on Frank Herbert’s novel, alongside Eric Roth and Jon Spaihts.
There is no information about the premiere date, but according to the source, “Dune” reboot will begin the production this year.
