“Jack Reacher” Moves into Small Screen

Deadline reports that Lee Child’s “Jack Reacher” book franchise in now being made into a TV Series.

A-list actor, Tom Cruise previously played the titular character Jack Reacher in the first two film that was released in 2012 and 2015 and produced by Paramount Pictures. Now that we have news about Jack Reacher moves into TV series, I’m afraid we won’t be able to see Mr. Cruse reprise his role as Jack Reacher.

According to Childs in his recent interview with BBC said,

“We’re rebooting and starting over and we’re going to try and find the perfect guy. Cruise, for all his talent, didn’t have that physicality”

For those of you who read the novel, I think we all know that Tom Cruise didn’t exactly match with the description of Jack Reacher, especially his physically. But that doesn’t mean that Child is not like with the actor, trough his interview, he said that he’s really like working with Tom Crusie.

“I really enjoyed working with Cruise. He’s a really, really nice guy. We had a lot of fun. But ultimately the readers are right. The size of Reacher is really, really important and it’s a big component of who he is… So what I’ve decided to do is – there won’t be any more movies with Tom Cruise. Instead we’re going to take it to Netflix or something like that. Long-form streaming television, with a completely new actor.”

There’s no further details about Jack Reacher TV Series. About the plot, the actors that attached to the show or the premiere date.
