Johannes Roberts is set to direct “Resident Evil” reboot.

Good news! “Resident Evil” reboot has finally found its director.

Johannes Roberts, the director of “47 Meters Down” has been hired to be the new director of “Resident Evil” reboot.

Not only to be the new director, Constantin Film also hired Roberts to become the writer of the film.

“Resident Evil” is one of the most successful action-horror franchises with cumulatively earned $1.2 billion worldwide to date and is notable for being the highest-grossing film series based on a video game.

“Resident Evil” tells the story about Alice, played by beautiful actress Milla Jovovich, as she fights not only the zombies terrorizing Raccoon City after an experiment gone wrong, but the evil Umbrella Corp, which is the cause of the disastrous state.

The recent film of Resident Evil, “Resident Evil: Final Chapter” was released in 2016 and grossed over $312 million worldwide.

There are still not details about the plot or the casts of the film or even the premiere date, but “Resident Evil” reboot is expected to start production in 2019.
