“The Martian”s star, Mackenzie Davis in talks to play in rom-com movie opposite Kristen Stewart. If she takes the project, she will play Stewart’s girlfriend.
“Happiest Season” is a lesbian rom-com, follows the story of a young woman (Kristen Stewart) who is planning to propose her girlfriend (Mackenzie Davis) in front of her girlfriend’s family. The catch? Her girlfriend hasn’t come out yet to her conservative parents.
Clea DuVall is set to become the director of “Happiest Season”. She also wrote the screenplay alongside Mary Holland. Temple Hill’s Marty Bowen, Isaac Klausner and Jaclyn Huntling are producing the film, which Hannah Minghella and Shary Shirazi will oversee on behalf of TriStar.
Mackenzie Davis known best for her role in “The Martian” and “Blade Runner 2049”. She will also appear in Tim Miller’s “Terminator” film alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton.
There are still no detail information about the rest of the casts of “Happiest Season” and an official date. But the studio expected to begin the production this year.
