Marvel wants Travis Knight to direct “Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3”

After the director of the first two films, James Gunn was fired because of the scandal, Marvel and Disney are looking a new director to take over “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3” project.

According to DisInsider, Marvel and Disney are now have their sights set on Travis Knight as new director of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3”.

Travis Knight known for his work as a director of “Kubo and the Two Strings”, and his upcoming live-action film debut this Christmas “Bumblebee”, a spinoff of “Transformers”.

There are a lot of rumors surrounding the films since Gunn has left has been dismal. Even the actor Dave Bautista has said that this film might be end up dead. Of course, that’s all conjecture at this point, as Kevin Feige and the folks at Marvel Studios haven’t even officially announced the film is being released, let alone a release date and/or creative team.

Whether this is good news of not, only the fans will have to decide for themselves.  “Kubo and the Two Strings” is an incredible film, but the verdict on “Bumblebee” is yet to be determined. However, if that film is a massive hit, you can expect that Knight will be a very in-demand filmmaker. And maybe, Marvel Studios will eventually hire him as the new director of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3”
