“Alita: Battle Angel” is a sci-fi action movie, tells a story about a deactivated female cyborg is revived, but cannot remember anything of her past life and goes on a quest to find out who she is.
Directed by Michael Rodriguez and screenplay by James Cameron. Also starring some big names in Hollywood including Rosa Salazar, Christoph Waltz, Jennifer Connelly, Mahersala Ali, Jai Courtney, Ed Skrein and Eiza Gonzalez.
In my opinion, this movie is not that bad, but also still far away from title great movie. I mean, the only thing that drawn me to watch this move is the title, literally…battle angel, so I’m thinking maybe they going to have an epic war between man and robot or something, but no…I’m so wrong thinking about that, instead they gave me half love drama and half not so great action. May be they shouldn’t call this movie “Alita: Battle Angel”, perhaps they can call it “Alita’s love story”, which exactly this movie is.
I still don’t understand why on earth James Cameron joined this project in the first place. The dialogue itself its pretty boring. And also lack of chemistry between each players. The only thing good thing about this movie is the CGI. I have to admit that the CGI look pretty darn good, and also, I’m impressed with action sequences in this film.
And about the ending? God…this movie doesn’t even have an ending, but I think they wanted to make a sequel with this movie, because we left so many unanswered questions. But, if they planned to make sequel about this film, please, I’m begging you to add more actions and less drama.
Overall, “Alita: Battle Angel” had an interesting concept but somehow they failed to do it.
