For horror junkies who were looking for the new reboot of “The Grudge”…well, so sorry, but you have to wait a little longer.
The studio has announced that “The Grudge” reboot has moved from the original released date in June 21st, 2019 into January 3rd, 2020.
There are no specific reason why the studio has pushed back the “The Grudge” reboot, bu many people assumed because January is profitable for horror movies, based on the successful of “Glass” and “Escape Room”, which both movies came out in January and received financially success.
“The Grudge” is the latest entry in one of the strangest and longest-running horror franchises being made today, telling the story of a house haunted by two ghosts with an increasingly complex mythology. Originally from Japan, then adapted into big screen with “The Grudge” that was released back in 2004. Nicholas Pesce is directing “The Grudge” reboot with the casts including Andrea Riseborough, Betty Gilpin, Jacki Weaver, John Cho, William Sadler, Lin Shaye and Demián Bichir.
